# Cloud synchronization All EEG data recordings made in EmotivPRO are saved locally, so your computer does not need to be connected to the internet to access them after a recording. You also have the option to save your EEG data recordings to the EMOTIV Cloud automatically. When you choose to save your EEG data recordings to the EMOTIV Cloud, you can also access them on other computers which share your EmotivPRO license (if applicable). EEG data recordings that are **only** saved locally (when you have opted out of cloud synchronization) cannot be accessed on other devices which share your EmotivPRO license.
#### Opting out of cloud synchronization ‌To opt out of your EEG data recordings being saved to EMOTIV Cloud: 1. Click on **Settings** which can be found at the top right-hand side of your EmotivPRO window.![EmotivPRO settings dropdown menu](/files/VeAXEca1g7uRgdkrCOhf)
2. Click on **Recording** from the navigation bar on the left-hand side of the screen.
3. Click on **Opt out** to stop your EEG data recordings from being saved to the EMOTIV Cloud. **EEG Quality Notification** To get a warning regarding low EEG Quality (EQ), select the checkbox.
