# Creating recordings on D-Lab

1. [Start a Network Data Stream on D-Lab](https://emotiv.gitbook.io/emotivpro-v3/d-lab-client/network-data-stream-configuration).\
   \&#xNAN;*N.B.: You will only need to start a network data stream if your connection is disrupted, but once it's been created you can start and stop recordings freely.*
2. Open D-Lab software and click on “Measure”.
3. Click on the “Data Recording” tab.
4. Click “Record” when you are ready to record.
5. Click on “Stop” when you are finished recording.
