# Editing a group

To edit a group, hover your mouse over the group you want to edit, and click on the **Edit** button. You’re then taken to the group editing screen where you can choose Group Options or Options Mapping.

#### Group Options

To add group options:

1. Click on the **Add Options** link and enter a name for the option.
2. Click on the **Add Item** link and enter an item name — for example, voice (male or female) and length (short or long).

#### Options Mapping

Once the options are set up, you need to assign each item to an experiment. To do this you need to:

1. Click on the **Options Mapping** link. This will show you a column for each option and all the combinations of items.
2. Use the drop-down menus to assign the experiment to run when each option combination is selected.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://emotiv.gitbook.io/emotivpro-builder/groups/editing-a-group.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
