# Charging your EPOC X

Your EPOC X is charged and tested before shipping — so you can start using it straight away.&#x20;

### **Charging the battery**

To optimize the use of your headset, we recommend that you fully charge it before making recordings.&#x20;

If the ON/OFF LED does not glow white when you turn your headset ON, it requires chargin&#x67;**.**&#x20;

To charge the battery, plug the USB charging cable into the USB-C port located on the right-side of the headset.\
Then, connect the other end of the USB charging cable to a power outlet or PC/Mac.&#x20;

The length of time it takes to fully recharge your headset depends on the remaining capacity of the lithium polymer battery. Charging can take up to two hours.&#x20;

If the headset is unused for a long period of time, the battery will become heavily depleted of charge. If this happens, you may need to charge your headset for 24-hours.&#x20;
