Achieving 100% contact quality

Your goal is to achieve 100% contact quality at each sensor on your headset and maintain this while you’re playing a game or participating in an experiment.
To do this:
If you're using EPOC X, click on Headband Position. Select the position of your EPOC X headband: back of head or top of head.
Click on Contact Quality. The contact quality map shows you a visual representation of the contact quality at each sensor on your EPOC X. Each sensor’s contact quality status is shown in real-time. So you can adjust each one (if needed) to achieve 100% contact quality.
The contact quality statuses are:
Green - good (100% contact quality achieved)
Orange - moderate
Red - poor
Black - very poor
3. The two reference sensors—the ones with the black dots inside —must be green and not flickering to the other colours for the EEG signal to be good.
4. Once you’re happy that the reference sensors are consistently green, move onto the other sensors. If any sensors are not green on the head map:
Correct the position of the sensor.
Work the sensor through your hair to achieve better contact with your scalp.
Add more saline to the sensor.
Sit still for at least five seconds. Once you’ve done these adjustments and wait for the contact quality to settle. If you are moving, you will not know if the adjustments you have made have worked.
