# EMOTIV App EMOTIV App is a desktop service application that acts as the centralized installer and login interface for all EMOTIV applications and headsets.This application manages all basic interactions with your EMOTIV headset including logging into your account, connecting your headset, checking contact quality and managing your licenses. EMOTIV App can be used with EMOTIV software as well as all approved third party applications. This document is intended to help you get started using the EMOTIV App with it's embedded Cortex service and to understand how to use the various features that it offers.
