# Virtual Brainwear® device statuses and configuration

Your virtual device has the same status information as a physical hardware device — you can see the device name, contact quality and battery meter on the connected device. The major difference to your physical device is that you can configure these to a desired state with virtual device configuration. \
To configure your virtual device, click on the More icon next to your virtual device, then select Configurationfrom the dropdown list. Configuration options are available on all device states —- created, powered on/off, connected/disconnected.

To help you quickly and efficiently prototype during your application development, we have includeda number of common configurations that can be set-up in the configuration dialog of your virtual device. Available configurations can differ depending on which virtual device you are emulating.<br>
